Day 1: And so it begins...

Welcome to my fitness journey! I hope by sharing my struggles and experiences someone else will be encouraged to start and succeed at their own journey. I have a family and want my children to grow up knowing it is okay to be in a gym, it can be yummy to eat healthy, and it is okay to dream big! I will share weekly images so that change can be seen. I will also share about my eating habits and how those are changing for both me and my family. Most importantly, I will share my failures along with every teeny tiny success.

Today's post is all about the GOALS!
Weight goal: 135 lbs   Current Weight: 194.7 lbs

Food goal: clean eating and eliminate refined sugar
Changes I am making this week:
Breakfast-2 egg whites, Plexus pink drink (I am using Plexus to stimulate good digestive health-if you have more questions about this, let me know)
Morning snack-1/2 an avocado
Lunch-banana with peanut butter (might try sunflower seed butter-I'll post about how I like it)
Afternoon snack-greek yogurt with blackberries
Dinner-low carb: I will focus on a healthy amount of protein from chicken, pork, or fish and a large amount of green veggies.
I will be cutting out diet cokes and alcohol and drinking a ton of water (45 fluid ounces per day).

Exercise Goals:
Working out with a trainer 2 times per week.
Running/Jogging-oh come on, let's be real, I'll be walking with a bounce 2 days per week.
I am not a runner, so I am trying this for cardio. I enjoy being outside and prefer the outside to a treadmill. I will be starting with 1 lap around the block (this is a little less than a mile). My goal is to be able to eventually be able to run 4 laps in 30-35 minutes. I will report in on my running times

The struggles are preparing meals for the rest of my family and making time for exercise.
I have a very supportive husband and without him this would not be possible!
Thank you all for following my journey and your support!

As a Christian, our health matters.:    Pretty cool:
Until next time!
